I have an existing site using SCC Pro, with designer Pro. I'm quite happy with the template I've designed, and obviously thrilled with the cart, but would like more customised pages. Is VSD something that incorporates well with SCC Pro (as with Designer Pro), or would I need to publish both sites that I build from each program to different folders, and link between the VSD site and the cart site?

Bren - I've only made one shopping cart site, it went with an already existing VSD site. I used the home button on the cart to go to the VSD home page and put links on the VSD pages to the cart. It was possible to make the cart look like part of the VSD site with the Cart Designer program. Maybe someone here with more Shopping Cart experience would know how to create additional links from the cart to other VSD pages.

I thought more people would use the two together, but maybe not? Or maybe they just build a nice Home Page to link their cart to?

I'm a CC newbie, but used to build my site with another (cumbersome) web authoring software which had infinite pages, but no cart. I'm happier, much happier, with the cart. If it's a choice of pages, or the cart, I'll just stick with the cart.

I would imagine it is basically the same as using the HTML editor which is what I used for my shop pages other than the SCC shop itself pages. Unfortunately, there is no way to add things to the menus of the shop other than creating new pages for it and even those end up as drop downs instead of menu items in most cases. The only way to really link your shop to an external site or site pages is to use the Home Page setup in SCC and SCC Pro so that it's integrated that way and then add the menu option to your external pages to your site. That's about all you can do at this point. I'm not sure if any future builds will give us more freedom in this area or not as I haven't seen anything mentioned so far on it.

I wanted to take CC up on their amazing offer, but I guess I'll wait to see what's around the corner. I don't want to buy something that doesn't work in conjunction with SCC Pro, or you need to use a few workarounds as I would probably mess it up.

I'm sure there'll be other things CC will entice me with.
