I just updated yesterday to VSD 7.0 build 16 and I am so frustrated I want to scream. I have tried several times to make a mouse over object and the same thing keeps happening. I create the object and tell it to use the same text as the original then I preview it and looks fine - until I create a second object. I create the second object in the same manner only with different text and then I preview the site again; only this time when I run the mouse over the object - the mouse over on the first one I created takes on the text of the second object that I created. For instance - the first object says paintings, the second says jewelry so I check the effect in the preview only when I run across the "paintings" button" the text on the mouse over has changed to "jewelry". This goes on and on with each object I try to create. I even deleted the entire site, (luckily I had only just started), and I began from scratch but still had the same problem so I decided I would just make a link without the mouse over effect. Well that didn't work either. When I would preview the link, the text would disappear and the object would grow when I ran the mouse over it. I have also noticed that prior to updating the site looked fine when I previewed it but after the update it looks fuzzy. Needless to say, I just deleted the whole thing and gave up.

Is there anyway I can go back to the version I had before the update?

Brenda, I just want to make it clear for my self. Are you saying that you created two objects. Each object has a mouse over effect given to it and one object takes on the mouse over effect of the other? Were you using the Buttonize feature to do this?

Since going to build 16 many of my mouse-over effects just outright changed and no longer function correctly. Almost every mouse-over changed to text that was related to only two buttons. Now almost all the buttons have that same-mouse over effect. Really, really frustrating.

Everything was working perfectly before build 16.

We think we just were able to track this down. It appears to be a problem with JPG and mouseovers. They work fine for GIF but anything with a JPG fails.

We have this logged with our developers and hope to have a fix very soon.

Just curious as to how long you think "very soon" might be because this problem has put all of my work on hold.

Scott, I have mouseovers on some JPG's and I checked them for the issue and their working as I originally set them up. I don't have any text associated with them just an increase in size for link recognition.

You can never give a data on when a bug is fixed. It could take them hours or days to correct an issue. Since we do not open until Monday, I really will not know anything until they look at the bug report.

Well now, this topic seems to be similar to the problem I've had today. Since upgrading to the current build I've been having a problem linking to documents. I'm making the link, adding the files, saving the work then uploading via the internal FTP to my host provider. Everythings fine up to this point.

However, the next time I open this VSD project that same link is no longer valid on ANY of the associated links and they have to be manually re-established.

No change in how I've been doing things. I've working on this project daily for better than a year so I have a fairly standard routine in using VSD. I've seldom had any problems with updates so I thought it was just me. Maybe I'm off the hook.

It's not a project stopper, but rather an annoying repetition. I'll take a break for a couple of day on this project, work on the other one and wait for some details on a resolution.

I started having the same problems with VSD 7.0 -16 immediately. I have about 25 pages under development with a tree of buttons starting with four on page one, then three branches of about eight buttons.

I loaded my site into the new build and about half of the border images, etc could not be found, all of the mouseover buttons showed the just one( the same) image. I tried reinstalling Build 16 to no avail. Unfortunately, due to an unfortunate new computer crash, my last backup was about 5 hours work ago.

Anyway, I've reinstalled Build 15, and found a semi-recent backup and am back to work. Won't touch Build 16 again.

We'll see what the future brings,,, but not without redundant backup.

I have had the same issue but my .jpg did not have any links or mouse over affects on them. Just a .jpg
Previewed fine as soon as I saved it it was gone.
I restored back 30 days on my computer and fixed my three sites. using build 11 now
