Just bought a new more powerful PC, moved from windows XP to windows 7 and from VSD 6 to VSD 7. And now the objects I had created using the shapes tool show up on the browser page with a different size, longer. Same thing with newly created objects. Happens in Firefox and IE.

The shape objects are under the title and subtitles.
This is right, from VSD 6

and this is after the vnu project has gone through VSD 7 and I resaved the project under a diferent name.

The shape objects still look the same in the VSD v7 work space like they did in v6.

There will always be a few differences from version 6 to version 7. Make a few adjustments to the page and you'll be off and running. Looks good.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

The shape object on the webpage is longer and wider that what it actually is in the VSD work environment while the text over it is moved up and to the left. I can't see what I'm doing.

On the objects that still appear to long and text shifted, try giving them a little more room to make sure their not touching other objects or text box's.:)

The shape and txt objects.

In the VDS environment, the blue shape is the same lenght as the text underneath it, same for the picture. When published, the shape & picture become bigger, while the text shrinks.

VSD 7 and my PC are not getting along.
The program wouldn't load today, even when calling vsd.exe directly, not through a shortcut. I uninstalled, re-downloaded and reinstalled.

Since I reinstalled, the preview doesn't work.
Not that that matter, but the 'About...' window doesn't respond to the mouse command.

Try this.
1. Right-click the shortcut icon, and click Properties.
2. Click the Compatibility tab.
3. Here, put a check mark by Run This Program as an Administrator.
4. Next, put a check mark next to Run This Program in Compatibility Mode For: and ensure Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 is selected.
5. Click OK.

Another issue I see is many of your images have spaces in the name. You need to remove those spaces and re-add them back to VSD.

[quote=Eric Rohloff (Rolly)]Try this.
and ensure Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2

I checked Run as administrator and
compatibility for Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

The preview can be called but the shape/picture and texts are shown in the browser with different sizes,
using an image file with no spaces in the name.

Now I see that blocks of text longer than one line aren't displayed properly. Lines go on longer than they should, longer than they are in the VSD work environment.

It's hard to see what the problem is on simpletest when I really have nothing to compare it to.:) Can you post a screen shot?
