VSD 6.04 links!?!?! - Post ID 85421

I've been having this same problem ever since I upgraded to build 4. VSD asks for ALL of the document links to be re-loaded every time you try and save any work. Once you re-load all the docs you can upload successfully.

Next time you open the application and open an existing website you must re-load ALL of your document files once again before you upload ANY changes.

Version 6.0.5 was released today. Please see if this version helps out. We made a lot of changes to the advanced text and link to documents features.

If you still do have issues, fill out a support request and we will help you get to the bottom of this.

under 6.0.5 I still had to re-do all my links...but it seems to be working now....the link feature is still acting buggy...takes multiple trys and wants to automaticaly go to default instead of new window, after you try and link it it highlights half the links in the text box etc....

for what I can tell it might be functional but still very buggy....and why do I still have to re-do all my links...this site only had 15 links or so so it only took a few minutes but my other sites will be a huge pain!

Anything can be fixed. If you can reproduce the same steps that cause the error, let me know. I have not noticed any issues myself, but then again I use the software all day long.... ;)

We had about 15 sample Websites from various users and under these tests, no links were lost. It could be possibly your site was configured in a different way that we did not account for. If we can get your source files before you saved them in 6.0, we can try and track down the issue. For that, please open a support ticket with all the source data and instructions on what links are missing.

I've just downloaded VSD 6.0.5 and installed - same activity as previously, if you open an "existing website" from the opening dialogue you have to re-load ALL linked documents prior to uploading (FTP) any changes you make to the website.

I didn't recognize any activity that had changed.

Can you please send me all your source files (vnu and website folder) so I can try and see what is going on? You can send them directly to scott@coffeecup.com

Please make sure to preserve the directory structure in the zip file.
