So, in the previous version I had no issue with the page width showing up in both IE and Mozilla. Now, it won't stay and goes clear to both sides.

Any tips?

Thanks

Kevin, at first I thought this was something that didn't work right, but then I think I have 'seen the light'.

If your problem was that you gave your site a background colour and by previewing it you had a wall to wall cloured page, that is not the same as the set width is being ignored. What I did, was trying to place some text or other objects outside the given width, but that didn't work - and it is not supposed to work either. The width settings are there in the background so that you don't place anything too far to the left or right, but you can have a background colour that covers the whole width of your screen.

If I have misunderstood your problem, please report back.

In the previous version of VSD, I had no problems. I did not change any settings. I could constrain the width and after uploading I could see the width on both IE and Mozilla. Now, it shows properly in VSD, but not in a browser.

Yes, I have background color.

Earlier VSD was like you said, the colour spread out only within the set width. What was outside remained grey (or white, I don't remember). But a lot of users wanted to have a colour covering the whole viewport of the screen, so this was changed. In oder to have a colour only within the set width, you have to position a rectangle in that colour and the size of your width/height.

I hope this helps you.

Kevin,

Look at Settings | Background Fill Properties... and see if the continue the background fill beyond the border button is selected.
