VSD 6.0 Build 5 - Duplicate folders -...

I just updated one of the website I support and found the following:

1. folder called: name-v6_website (where all the updated files are saved)
2. folder called: name.vnu_website (where the previous version's files are saved, together with the form files, calendar files etc)

I realized that I have two folders after the updates I made didn't show on the site via the internet. I went to look at the files and found those two folders. The "new" folder (1) has all the modified files saved in it correctly, but is missing all my forms and calendar files, which can be found at the "older" folder (2).

I have another website I updated using ver 6.x and VSD overwrote the older files as expected, rather than creating a new folder, like (1).

This is strange, since I'll have to manually copy files from folder to folder to make sure I have them all under one place and saved into the same folder.

For whatever reason I also have two .vnu files which I never created (knowingly): name.vnu and name-v6.vnu, but they are only in this website, not in the other I updated without any issues.

Can anyone explain this?

When you save your Website in the latest version, 6.0.5, we automatically do a conversion on the site and save it as the same name with a -v6 added. You will then get a new VNU and _website folder.

However you did find a small issue where items added with the Flash Add Tool are not getting copied over automatically. I have our programmers checking into this. We should have a fix for this tomorrow.

When you save your Website and VSD creates a new VNU file with the -v6 extension, which file should be the most current for the next time you want to open the Website?

The one with the -v6 extension or the one without it??

Thanks

The one with -v6 (short for version 6.0). If you want you can open your old Website and then do a Save-AS and select a different name if you like.
