I'm currently busy with a site and decided that I want to make an intro page.

It has to be visible BEFORE the index.html

Can I build that intro page and call it "intro.html" and check "Front Page" in Page Properties? Will that do the trick?

What happen exactly in I check "Front Page"?

Hi Dick,
as soon as you choose the intro page as "frontpage" it will be named index by default, So then you would have to link the Enter to your homepage (old index file)
you might want to see here for intro page in Firestarter.

Thanks Bruzer.

Thank for the link, I was already aware of that.

The intro page is already "done" but not implemented.

As I understand; It's not a 1-2-3 task to at that later to a web site.

Because of the content of the site to be, I will seriously reconsider rename the index.html, relink all links to it and make the intro the index page.

Before I do that, I will Google in depth for a more friendly solution. If found, I will let the forum know,

Renaming and relinking is the only way to go as the first page a browser looks for on a site is the index. So, if you want to add a splash page, it must be called index.htm(l). From an SEO pov, splash pages should be avoided, so search engines have plenty of info to index, and visitors can get to the content they want as quickly as possible. The exception being, and this may be what you are after, if you want to use the initial page as a checkpoint of sorts.

The thing is that I have on every page (as part of the design) a female posing dressed in...well...nothing. Although her pose is not "dirty" suggestive, she's still naked.
I don't want to get rid of her, she fits the cause so well.

I will (if no solution come up) replace her with somebody else in an Eskimo suit :D
That way I can give a message before they enter the galleries containing mature content.

In short: I don't want to be the cause of shame around anybodies children or on anybodies work.
