Well Tom I find the best way is to use CSS for this type of menu you want, easily done in Html Editor for sure. easy, easy, easy!:)

Thanks, Bruzer. The only problem is that I don't have Html Editor, and I don't know Html. Nor do I know how to use CSS. Plus, even if I did, I would still have to redo all my links, which wouldn't take too long if I could create one set of menus and then copy that set to all 34 pages of my site. There's also the issue of changing the color of each button that goes with the page that each menu is on. The Home page button, for example, is a bright orange color rather than burnt orange, and the text is bold rather than normal.

So, . . . I don't know what to say at this point except that I did get a response from CC support, and they want me to upgrade to 6.0 before going any further. I told them that I couldn't do that because of the problem I had with my links disappearing. They haven't responded yet, but I'll let you know what they say when they do. In the meantime, I don't think I have a choice but to not use any buttons that dropdown (or up) unless CC support can come up with another solution or unless the latest version of VSD fixes the problem.

Well, CC support informed me that I have to upgrade to VSD 6.06 or they can't help me. They also claimed that my problem has been fixed in VSD 6.06, and that the links problem has also been fixed. So, I deleted all of my crazy menu buttons that don't work correctly and resaved my website in a new folder. Then I uninstalled VSD 5.9.4, installed 6.06, reopened my website, and modified two of my buttons on my home page to make them look and function with the dropdown/up feature when a mouse is placed over them. Needless to say, the problem is still there! The top WSG menu button is about 42 pixels high in normal view (instead of 20 pixels) and about 5 pixels wider on the right than it is supposed to be. The text in normal view is also stretched about twice its normal size in the vertical direction. However, the bottom button looks and works fine in both normal and mouseover view. Now, after reporting all this to CC support, I'm waiting for their response.

I have created two test websites for CC support to analyze. The first one is similar to the one at www.abcdtest.150m.com, and the second one is similar to the website I've been working for the last 18 months. Both test websites are two pages long, and both of them contain copies of my top and bottom menu bar, but the first website also contains numerous copies of the button that exhibits weird behavior. I will replace the website at www.abcdtest.150m.com with the one I gave to CC support that I created in VSD 6.06 so that anyone else who is interested can see the strange behavior of these buttons. The Web Support Group buttons on the home page will navigate to the second page of the website, and the Home button in the lower righthand corner of the second page will navigate back to the Home page of the website.

I should have mentioned in my previous post that the Web Support Group button in the two menu bars on the home page of www.abcdtest.150m.com do not have the dropdown/riseup feature, and neither do the WSG buttons in the fifth and sixth menu bars. Only the WSG buttons in the third, fourth, seventh, and eight menu bars. The WSG buttons in the third and seventh menu bar are supposed to drop down, and the WSG buttons in the fourth and eight menu bars are supposed to rise up when the mouse is placed over them. Also, all eight WSG buttons are supposed to be the same height in normal view (20 pixels). The bright orange WSG buttons are for the WSG page, and the other WSG buttons are for all the other pages in my website (which is the reason for the difference in color). The WSG buttons that rise up are on the menu bar that is on the bottom of my website (my page size is 760 x 2200), and those that drop down are at the top of my website. Finally, the text not supposed to be stretched vertically like it is in the WSG button on the third menu bar.
