Holy cow, I don't think I've made that many pages total in my lifetime.
Options are always nice.

I would hate to count the number of pages in my professional website. 14 sections and growing, average section with 40 or more pages....yikes. I can see where having the "sort order" changed on you would be a hastle.
Hope CC sees this and can make it an option.
I use the HTML editor, and my pages have always been sorted from A to Z, so that is what I'm used to. I would not want it changed without an option to put it back.

www.mainsites.ca is my website, and yes, some of it is crappy.

My website is only about 70 pages (no comparison I know) but I changed the way I enter the page id so that it put them in the order I wanted.

You have a Team! I'm jealous! Where can I get one of those?
I have been telling the company for years that we need a team. Myself and I have both quit, and now it's only ME. I play the grahpic artist, html/xhtml lead, php/MySQL coder, organizer, secretary and gopher. On Fridays I am the "backup" dude, and Monday mornings I am the maid/shredder operator/....you get the picture.
Have you sent this request to have the order sorting optional to the Coffeecup help team? Explain to them why it is important to you. I hope they can put this option into the program to help you and others with large sites.

Before it used to be sorted that way and we received so many requests to alphabetize them, we did it that way. I will see what I can do about getting something into the 6.0 version.

I can't really say when it will be ready. I first need to find the best way to do it and then convey that to our programmers. We also have to prioritize this feature request with others.

My one gripe about the filename order issue here is that this is not implemented consistently. It is fine and dandy for the Show Page feature. But what about the drop-down list for Link and Add Page functions?
It is in the 5.9.2 version due out shortly.

Scott:
Sorry to hijack this but I think I found another bug in 5.9.1 and thinks it SHOULD be fixed in 5.9.2:
- have a GIF called logo-large-A.gif
- make it a link image so VSD will use the filename and not create a separate JPG for it
- generate the website and look under the files folder; one finds, as expexted, logo-large-A.gif
- look at the resulting HTML code, the <a> reference uses logo-large-a.gif instead!
I don't know if this was an issue with previous VSD versions since I can no longer load the VNU file into them to check. However, left unfixed, this will break about half the websites <g>
Thanks.
