VNU File Not Uploading to Server

When publishing or re-syncing website I'm receiving the message "An Error Occurred While Trying to Upload To Your Server". There is no problem with the FTP settings and I've disabled my firewalls and still encounter the problem. All the files for the site upload successfully, but for some reason the vnu file is not being uploaded. I've been trouble-shooting this issue the last two days without any success. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this problem?

Have you tried removing the current VNU File from the server? (Backing it up first of course.)

Then trying to upload again.

If that does not work, remove all files and re-upload...

Or submit a support ticket to see if the techs can come up with a solution.

Your vnu file doesn't cause problems with your site if it doesn't get uploaded. The vnu file is what VSD uses on your pc to retain your site settings and design. It's a windows side file not a server side file. VSD uploads one with a date time stamp to the backup directory for you to recover your site if something bad happens.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Update on Resolution of Issue

What was causing the problem was the site contained links to a downloadable document but were not pointing to an actual document file. Even though there was no problem in previewing the site within VSD, apparently this causes the error when publishing or re-syncing the site within VSD.
