Thanks for the suggestions! I decided to put in the blank index file and also used WAM to block access. I likley could have used .htaccess Editor in hosting, but I find Web Access Manager easier to use.

For VSD users who don't do any coding and don't have WAM...
A little more info, please.
Does one create this blank index page in VSD, or does it need to be done in a text editor? Would you use Direct FTP to get it into the Backups folder?
Will WAM and SDrive ever go together?
What about a built-in fix for this for VSD sites on SDrive accounts?

You would create it manually and upload it manually to S-Drive. Just create a page that uses this markup and save it as index.html in that folder:

<head>
<title>Go Away!</title>
</head>
<body>
Why are you here!

for the plain blank page, I opened HTML editor, clicked "New HTML Page" from "File", deleted what it gave me, then saved as "index.html" and uploaded to individual files through my hosting. This likely won't matter with setting WAM to block the files, but gives extra assurance after panicking seeing login and password come up on google.

You can make this file using any type of text editor such as Notepad, just open Notepad (or equivalent) and create a new file and save it as index.html with nothing in it at all and that's it
