Re; Visual Site Designer....

I purchased Visual Site Designer one week ago tomorrow. I still have things to learn.

There is a problem that I thought I should address and that is the fact, that after installing the software it works great. However once I shut down the computer for the night or exit Visual Site Designer and shut it down, I know longer can click on the desk top link and have it start up.

I tried re installing the software, no luck. However once I reinstall the software I can use it once.

What I am trying to say is this, I can only use the software every time I re-install the program. Exit the program or turn my computer off and I have to go through the process again.

I am using Windows 7

If you can help, thanks. If not - not a big deal for I can still get it to work and I am sure in time the problem will go away.

It seem to have done the trick! I just click on the link and it works, again and again. Thank You!

However, I will not fully test it at this time by shutting down the computer, I simply would not want to suffer a moment while My computer is not on. lol

What I did.

When I first installed 7 it gave me the option to allow anyone to use the software or just the logged on user. I checked logged on users which I then had to run as admin. to get the software to run. I didn't like taking the time to right click/left click to run as admin. so I just uninstalled/reinstalled the software and checked allow all users. Now i just left click and the software opens.

the other option to this would have been to set the shortcut to Run As Administrator so that it would do so permanently instead of having to always start it up that way.

This is a Windows issue which is a pain in the butt for a select number of programs, not all CC even. Good luck on the site building

*NOTE* unless there's something you truly don't want anyone else to use (since I don't know your household, this could be the case lol) then just make all programs run for all users, much easier than having to remember all the settings
