I just uploaded a new version of Visual Site Designer 6.0:
  • Changed: Corrected issue opening a Website originally crated in version 5.9.4 with page dimensions larger the 1000x1000 causing the error "The Webpage could not be opened."
  • Changed: Corrected issue where Visual Site Designer would leave a * in the titlebar after saving.
  • Changed: Corrected problem with link properties loosing http:// for some URL's

Just ran into the problem with the large site not opening. My heart sank when I thought I'd have to re-do the whole site. Came here to see if anyone else had this problem. Top of the page was this post. Nice quick fix CC team. Thanks!

RE: Visual Site Designer 6.0 - VNU file is uploaded with your Website for backup purposes

Is there a way to have the vnu file that is uploaded overwrite the previous (older)vnu file that has been uploaded? I had more vnu files on on the server than actual html web pages...didn't realize that was happening until I logged on using Direct FTP.
Thanks

Scott, I just noticed another behavior with respect to the "*" for saved files: when I publish the site, the process of re-generating and uploading the HTML causes the "*" to reappear even though I haven't changed anything.

Scott,
Still looking for resolution to an issue of pictures that I rotated @ 15deg and they are stacked or layered to look a specific way. It shows everything correctly on the screen under new VSD 6 (build 3), but when the page is built the background is in the wrong layer.

Here is what happens when the page is built under VSD 6 -

Here is the same page built with VSD 5.9 - http://www.autolinkeadvisor.com/

I have gone through and tried to re-layer the page again but the results are the same.

Thanks,

Any chance of giving VSD the ability to "manage" all the VNU files that are starting to pile up on websites.
Thanks. :D
