Installed purchased copy of Visual Designer on a new Dell XPS laptop running vista home premium. It ran great and I completed most of a page ok. Next day I can't start the program. Crashes right away.

The work around I found is to right click the program icon and select run as administrator.

I am the only user on this pc and run with admin priv so not sure why this program is not happy.

Donmanva,

You might want to click on profile and change your forum name to something other than your email address. Spam bots are always running around the internet looking for email addresses.

This is a common problem for folks running Vista. Some have been able to run it as administrator a single time, but other Vista users like yourself are always having to run as administrator.

My guess is that this sort of thing will continue as Microsoft piles more security into their applications.

Hi,

I have Vista, and had to go to the program file, find the vsd.exe file and right click, choose run as administrator. Only had to do that once, and all was good after that. I have many other CC programs, and they have worked fine without taking any extra steps. When I learn why, I will be happy to share.
