Very Large Images - Post ID 141817
Hi,
I'd like to place some very large 3700x5700 images on a page, and have scroll bars appear so I can move around them.
Sounds simple, but can't find any way of bringing that image in without it either being scaled or cropped.
Any ideas would be most welcome.
Thanks,
Bobby

The max width of a VSD web page is 2000px as it seems. What you have to do is creating a smaller version of your images and put them onto the page. Each of these images can have a link to the large one. So you have to click on a small image in order to see the large one.
You may want to put up a warning about loading time, though.

How do I link to the large one? I can't link to a page - as the page would have to be limited to the same size I think?

You would have to upload the large images without putting them on any page, and then link to them directly.

1.) Put your full sized images in the "Download" folder inside of your "Files" folder in your local VSD folder and link to them to open in a new blank window
-OR-
2.) upload (FTP) the images directly to your websites root directory or individual folder and then link to them using the link tool to open in a new blank window as an external link.
The second method will expedite your future updates to your site by not transfering the extra large image files in your resident FTP upload.
