Vertical Centering

Second question of the day.

Ive searched on the forum but not found an answer for VSD.

I know that you can center a page horizontally with just a little tick box... However, is it possible to always center a page vertically in VSD no matter the screen resolution?

The site I want to produce is will be 1024x768. But I always want that 1024x768 in the very center of the browser window.

Thanks

When you land on a page the browser will land with the page scrolled to the top. Now if you use anchor links to your page you can control where a user lands but not if they type the url directly. There may be a bit of java script to accomplish what your looking for.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

You know that everything takes effort... The more effort you put in the more you learn.

If you take the easy way out, you may just be hurting yourself in the long run.

Have a look at this as an example http://deloreanjewellery.co.uk/

is this what you are after, if it is, just tell VSD to put you design in top and centred

Click F11 and on my standard laptop it fills the screen, centrally, but on a wide screen, I have added the background separately to fill browser outside of design to full width of any screen

These are basic settings in VSD just trial , preview, error, trial , preview , error, trial preview correct SAVE

Just out of curiosity, why in the world would you want the site to start in the center of the page vertically? Can't say as I've ever heard of such a thing in all the years I've surfed the net or created sites. Horizontally yes, that's something you should always do, but vertically? That's not a common practice at all, nor can I think of a single reason you'd want to do that on a 1024 high page.

that's a whole 'nother story there Michael. That site is not 1024 px in height at all so that's why it makes it easy for them to do that. Basically that site is only 622 px in height so it basically centers all by itself for the most part. There's no centering setup needed if you keep the height to a reasonable amount so that it fits in most monitors as is. It's not centering that page, it's at the top of that page but the height just is short enough that it looks centered.
