Various Web Browsers and VSD
Hi Everyone,
I have a couple of general questions:
1) do most of you have multiple browsers installed on your machines to test your sites with? Right now, I only have IE9 but was considereing installing Chrome and FF just to double check everything. It seems like a good idea to do this, but I wanted to check with everyone here first.
2) do most of you use The HTML editor in conjunction with VSD? If so, i know you can add HTML to VSD -- with that being the case why would you use both the HTML editor and VSD? Hope this isn't an obvious answer, but I'm new at this! I bought VSD a while back and have just gotten a chance to begin development on my site over the past couple of weeks.
Thanks,
Ryan

As I'm not yet running any Windows 7 machines, the highest version of IE that I can run is 8. Along with that, I test on Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
I use the HTML Editor for "heavy-duty" stuff, but VSD for quick & dirty or temporary page additions to my main sites.

Lets count 1,2,3,4,5,6...... 6 is how many I have.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

The 'Big Five' would be Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Safari and IE. (in approximate order of preference

Giving the people what they want is fundamentally and disastrously wrong. The people don’t know what they want. They want to be entertained, that’s all. Don’t give the people what they want – give ‘em something better!

Firefox/Waterfox, IE9, Chrome, Safari, Opera.
Why use the Editor & VSD?
I mainly use VSD, but like to be able to add other things to it (scrolling divs, slideshows...). The Editor makes it easy for me (I've never built an entire site from html/css/js), so I get the best of both worlds – a WYSIWYG with some custom code
Going the other way... I need to see what I'm building, so I would do a mock-up in VSD to make sure I had everything the way I wanted it before typing out all the html/css.
Plus, it's a quick way to show something to a client and get all the details nailed down before building the actual site.

Thanks for the answers everyone!
I'm going to download and install several more browsers tomorrow, as well as give a trial run to the HTML editor when I get a chance.
