I had version 7.00 and the web site that I was saving, would save the site without error and appear to work perfectly when published.

Since updating to build 18 it now says "Can't finish save process" when saving, however if I close the programme and the message occurs it DOES save the changes when I reopen it again.

I have checked and double checked the mouseovers that it highlights but can't see anywhere where a "mouse over intersects" that it is warning me about. In fact I deliberately moved the mouseover to an area of the page with nothing around it and it still warned me about that mouseover.

Absolutely nothing has changed in the site layout so why is the latest build giving me this error...???

Did you check the Object Properties for both the Mouseover and Original objects? Sometimes I leave the size of one too large.
You may also have a errant picture or text box floating under it. Clear the area and hold the mouse pointer near, use the left click and drag over the area. If there are any items in that area they will light up. Delete if so.
You could also try to delete the mouseover effect and begin again.

Update to above... When i say it is saving the web site in fact it is not. It is saving the change in the VNU file as I can see the change when I reopen the site has occured but only when viewed in VSD. However if i open the actual "web page" the change is NOT present.

Also I have lost my ability to preview and publish the site as it wants to save it before publishing... which I now can't do

Tim..thanks for the reply... The error is occuring on the buttons only on the Index page. But the layout for this is exactly the same on every other page (they were copied) and nothing has changed..???

If you're having problems saving the file, I would copy it from your folder (where ever you keep the file) and paste it in a new folder with a different name. You'll need to open every page from the new folder file, then "Save" the site. Re-link all downloaded documents (.pdf's, etc)
This will give you a whole new site basically withour re-creating it. Many times this can get rid of problems.

As far as seeing the changes on the internet, do you refreash the page when opening it again? If you don't refresh it will show the last page opened for that URL.

I found some of your buttons touching each other on you home page. I would try spreading them just a little more.

How are you seeing this as I can't find it at all. I have just reloaded the site onto an earlier version of VSD and it saves fine it is just v7 build 18 that queries the mouseover thus refusing to save...???

I'm using FX with firebug addon to help me decipher peoples code.

I just had the same error on build 16 or 18 (cant remember) and my files folder got deleted (or maybe never rebuilt during the save), is there anyway to recover from this? I ended up completly backing up my entire directory after each sucessful save just in case. Also, i never changed anything related to a mouseover. Just added a few pictures far out of reach of any other object.

I upgraded to the latest version (build 24) and it hasn't happen again but it's a pain to backup after each successful save. Why is the files directory gone and anyway to recover in case this happens again.
