Eric, thanks so much for your help and guidance. I was able to get this working flawlessly. It didn't take too many attempts to figure out how to correctly name and structure new folders, and which files needed to be put where. I don't think it will be too bad to make changes either. Everything is contained in two .vnu files. The primary one, and a secondary one with all of the lower tier pages.
I'd post up an URL to show it off, but I hadn't intended on going live with this yet, so it is a rather incomplete site. But I didn't want to go any further with designing it, if I couldn't get the page hierarchy to work easily. At least now that it is published I can see how it renders on my iPhone. Thanks again, the help is much appreciated.

Let me know what you find out. I'd bet money that Google sees a big difference between the following two identical pages with different URL endings:
/guitarchords
/bestshowsever/theyoungones/neil/songs/hole_in_my_shoe/guitarchords
/guitarchords
/bestshowsever/theyoungones/neil/songs/hole_in_my_shoe/guitarchords

Just for the sake of saying what I've seen, usually when you don't see the full path it's because you have it scripted somewhere not to do so, or you have a URL forwarder setup on your domain hosting or redirect setup with a cloaking setup. Usually most websites that I visit show the full pathway when you change pages.
You can find that this doesn't happen if you're using special circumstances though such as using an iframe to pull in a full site, masking URL's with domains using redirects (cloaking is the old term, not sure what it's called now), and I'm sure a few others where the site isn't being visited directly or the page isn't. Many times you'll also see this with CMS (Content Management System) websites such as Joomla or Wordpress etc.
On a normal website, this should be an automatic thing so if you're not seeing it that way check all your site's website settings, and also check your own browser settings too. Clear your browser cache also and make sure you're not seeing some residual pages rather than current setups.
Bout all I can think of on it, good luck with it
