I did the FTP thing with VSD and it gave me error message after error message. It could not find any of the files associated with the flash that I put on the home page. Put it uploaded all of these files even though it could not find them??? All works well.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Take a gander!! Don't expect a lot, I am not a designer and this is my first attempt. I got it to do all that I wanted so I am happy. The only major problem I am having is that my site will not work with FireFox.

If you added a file like flash, then changed it, and re installed it you will have two versions, one cannot be found (HENCE ERROR MESSAGE)
the other could be found, hence it uploaded

You can remove those old files ERROR WILL GO AWAY, or ignore the error message and it will still work fine (i think you can tick don't show me this again box)

OR :: What i do is when i am 10000% happy with things, i do save as :: rename the new version LIVE WEBSITE :: and then upload it again, it gets rid of all the changes, unused files etc.

Steven, I only use Firefox, and you flash intro worked just fine.
I'm wondering if you need to reset the history in your firefox browser.

Viv,
I did do new flashes a few times but I used the same file name each time; just overwrote it. I like the idea about save as with a new name for the site I will have to try that.

rodgw,
Where you able to see the rest of the site after clicking on the flash intro?
Especially the pictures I added to the first page. Those are the ones I can't get to show up in FireFox.
And yes, I have cleared the cache and history files a few times with FireFox and it does not help on my end. I guess if I get others that say they can see it on firefox then I won't worry.

I did forget to put a line of linked text under my home page flash for those that use Safari, since they can't see flash and would not be able to get into my site.

OK, I see what you mean,
I get to your main page, click on upper left graphic and get a blank white body.
Is that what you're fighting?

Well, there is the first page that starts up first, the flash page, where you click on the tool chest to get into the main website (the store). You said you see this flash so that's good.

You were able to click on the tool chest?

Once into the main site (shop) there is a banner at the top with two pictures, can you see them?

And then directly below that there are some other pictures of my products (not the pictures put in by SCCP). Can you see those pictures? If you ae not able to see any of these pictures there would be, of course, a lot of blank spots or alternate text tags were the pictures should be.

Oh, I see what you are referring to. My logo at the top of the page!!
It never did that before. When you put a logo into SCCP, I do believe that it automatically puts a link on the logo to your home page. It not longer works. It gives you the page but all the information is blank. Interesting.

Steven, I got the blank home page (in Firefox), too, but after going to a few other pages then clicking the home page link in the menu bar - the text showed up. If I click on the image at top left (or anywhere around it) it links to the site map page rather than the home page. So the home page isn't blank, it's the site map page that's blank.

The home link in the menu is your index page (S&S Bonsai-Home, see above) and you also have a home link (your icon) which goes to the site map (see url above with active page).

Yes, now I see.
I renamed a page I probably should not have.
When I eventually put the sitemap in, that will cure that problem. But it would be nice if it linked to the home page and not the sitemap. And it is hard wired into SCDP so I can't change it.

Thanks paintbrush
