I am using the (pay extra for) visual designer to modify and existing web site done in html. I am VERY techno-stoopid, but I'm tired of web masters screwing up my site (which is critcal to my business) so I am learning to do it myself. I'm NOT savvy, so please use idiot friendly terminology.

When I make changes to a page, I upload the page, but it is not showing up on the web. What am I doing wrong?

Also, how can I change the text in links?

I'm a little confused on your question because of your statement of updating an HTML site and using VSD. The 2 don't go together in any way unless you meant you are redoing it from scratch using VSD in order to update a site that was originally done in HTML? Then it makes more sense, but I guess clarification there might be in order.

Also a link to your site for the VSD users would come in handy too. I'm not one of them, I answer basic VSD questions is about it hehe, but I'm sure someone will have an answer for you.

I'm sorry! As I said in my post all of this is very new to me. The web site was designed by someone else in HTML. They wrote the code. _I_ am trying to work with it in Visual Editor (the pay extra for version.)

When I make changes to a page, I click to upload and it shows it connecting to the site, etc. but the new-and-improved pages do not show up when you open the site on the Internet.

All I am doing is uploading the (changed) pages one at a time. Am I supposed to upload the entire site or something? How do I do that?

Are you talking about the visual edit mode of the HTML Editor:

or are you talking about the Visual Site Designer:

because they are two very different programs, and you are currently posting in the forum meant for Visual Site Designer. If it's the HTML Editor you're talking about, the forum for asking questions about that program is here:

Sorry! I am using HTML editor, and using "Visual Editor".

Ok now that we've established which editor you are using and that you're using the Visual Editor part of the HTML Editor ... do you have a Link to the site so we can see if the changes show to us? It may be a browser cache issue which sometimes happens where you'll need to clear your cache and then will see the changes.

A link would be helpful and with the link a few bits of info might help to know what kind of changes you've recently made that we can see if it's showing up correctly to us or not
