Upload Settings Using VSD and...
Hi. This is such a rookie question, but I guess I've forgotten, and I can't find a definite answer in any old posts. I had to reinstall windows and my CC software, so my settings for the VSD upload were deleted, and, although I thought I knew what they were, I can't get my revised sites to upload to Lunarpages. I use VSD 5.9.3. Does anybody know what Lunarpages requires for settings when uploading via VSD? I have two websites. The main website is www.wizzstickers.com, and the sub-account is www.noxlife.com.
For www.wizzstickers.com, here's what I thought I was supposed to use:
FTP Server: ftp.wizzstickers.com
Username: *****
Password: *****
WWW folder: public_html
For the sub-account, www.noxlife.com, here's what I thought I was supposed to use:
FTP Server: ftp.wizzstickers.com
Username: *****
Password: *****
WWW folder: public_html/noxlife
However, when I test these, I get
Testing Server and Logon . . . ok
Testing Folder Creation . . . ERROR
Error: An unknown error has occurred.
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Tom

Tom,
The one site I ftp to that uses public_html does not need anything special, so I suggest you try removing the public_html, and if that does not work, try just using a / and see if that gets either site working.

Tom,
For my Lunar set up I just use website.com without the ftp in front of it, everything else you have correct. I also place a gorward slash in front of public_html to bypass the manager folders. (/public_html)
Dtp Server: website.com

Thanks for the replies. I've tried the suggestions, but none of them are working. I've disabled my avast! anti-virus, but that doesn't help either. I'm not sure what the problem is.

How about the firewall, is that disabled or maybe try checking/unchecking the passive mode, are you sure your user/password is correct? or maybe upper and lower case,it is case sensitive.
I still can't get any results different than what I got in the first posting. What do I do now? Do I contact CC tech support? I've had these websites going for a year or two, and I never had a problem before (although everytime I've had to remember how to fill in these blanks, I always forget ;o(
However, I noticed that when I purposely put in the wrong password, it still says "Testing Server and Logon . . . ok." Apparently testing server and logon doesn't mean that it's testing your access to your logon to your webserver?
Obviously, I don't have much tech experience.
Any more suggestions?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom
This is exactly how I have my lunarpages account set up:

Instead of using the test connection, have you tried just uploading without testing? Now I see your using version 5.93 try updating to the next version, it has the fix you may need . version 5.94

Bruce:
The test worked! Geesh. All I had to do was update to 5.9.4. I actually thought I had the most recent version, but I guess I didn't notice. Wow, that was a lot of work just for that being the solution. Bruce, you've helped me before a few times over the years, and, again, I must thank you.
Have a great day!
