Update the site menu once rather than...

How can I use VSD (or even HTML Editor) to reference a common copy of the site menu rather than individually updating every single page in my website whenever I need to alter the menu?
Once upon a time with ASP I used preprocessor directive #include do this: menu was stored in one file and I had one line to load that file into each page that needed it. Only had to change that one file to update all the pages. Thanks!

To answer the rest of your question, it cannot be done in VSD nor will VSD be getting any updates to add any new features like this either as it's being replaced by the new Responsive Site Designer ... which also doesn't have that feature, but you are able to more easily edit the code in the HTML Editor to do that once you're ready to start editing the code itself on the pages.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
