Trouble with Headers - Post ID 165476

I'm having trouble with a website that I'm working on for a client. When published, the headers look like there is a duplicate first letter slightly underneath. I can't make it go away. It doesn't show that way in the editing mode, but does when in Preview or Publish.

Any ideas? I tried making the font smaller, but it still happened. I deleted the text, and reinserted it, and it still happens. You can see it very clearly in the top header, with their names, and again in the next area with their names both at the top of the text, and in their signature. The second two areas are much more subtle, but you can see a couple little black spots before the front letter, and at the top of the capital R's in their names.

I've had this issue and didn't open a support ticket for it. Mine wasn't as apparent as yours. I'll open a support ticket and so should you.:) I can see it in three spots on your page.:(

Thanks Eric. I know, it's not good. You can actually see it shift every time you refresh the page. It didn't use to do this.

It looks like there's more than one instance of the image on the page; for the header, there's image_1 and Image_75. I'd go through the Files folder and get rid of anything not needed then upload using the re-synch site.
...or wait til Eric comes back with the answer

There are tons of duplicate files in the Files directory on my computer, but I have no idea which are there on purpose, and which are not -- for example, I have recurring items on each page such as the headers, etc., and I don't know if VSD needs a copy of each as an image for each page, or if one will do. Can I just delete all the files on my computer under the Website/files directory, and let VSD recreate the directory? It looks like VSD is not deleting the unnecessary files, and creating more each time.

I use a Firefox add-on (web developer's toolbar) to find the image name/number, then delete it from the Files folder.
A forum member put up a tutorial for clearing oout the folder without messing up your site - I'll have a look for it.

The easiest way to clear out your VSD project is to open your website and do a File > Save AS and then save to a new folder. This will then re-build your website locally with only the needed files. Then on your server, delete all of your files and immediately publish. This will then give you a clean website with no orphaned files.

I renamed my files folder on my local machine then renamed the files folder on the server. I republished which did get rid of a lot of unnecessary images when VSD created a new files folder but I'm still seeing the DBL image as Jamie above. When I look at the code VSD is creating two similar images but it is also creating the code for both. So deleting the one image is not an option.

I am new to the VSD program and a slightly advanced novice. I cannot figure out how to put in a header on the index page without writing in code as in the Edit Header command. I entered a text box but where is the menu to indicate size, color and font? This program is suppose to not require html.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

RKINA - click the Object Properties button in the top menu bar and that will give you all your options for whatever you have highlighted (including text). :)

Eric - this has to be a first - something has you stumped  (not for long, I'm sure!) :)
