Hi Michael,
Try resyncing your website or redoing the link. Can you share a link to your page with the problem?:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Hoping someone can give me some help. I had my website published and working, than I made one little change, an addition of some text on my one page, and after publishing again, my one photo link and a link to a jpg flyer would not work anymore. I did delete and add the photo that was not showing up and it works, but the flyer, ugh! I have tried linking to every way I can think of and it just won't work. What is so frustrating, is it worked fine, and I didn't even make my change on page. Anyone have any suggestions?

Here is the page: http://www.krranch.net/clinics.html the box with the date I tried using as a button, as a link and the text that says click her for more info. I highlighted and linked to flyer, I tried the link as a document and a url as http://www.krranch.net/TroutmanTamulonisdraft5.jpg. The TroutmanTamulonisdraft5.jpg was added with "add files". I don't know what else to do. the website is krranch.net. It is probably something simple I am missing, but I don't know what else to do. What is really frustrating is that it was working! Same with the one photo on several pages. It worked and than when I checked web site a few days later, it wasn't. Hope that is not the norm for cc vsd.

The link from your image on the web site is:
http://www.krranch.net/TroutmanTamulonisdraft5.jpg

The link from the 'For more information on...is this: http://www.krranch.net/files/Download/TroutmanTamulonisdraft5.jpg

The link you tried direct is:
http://www.krranch.net/TroutmanTamulonisdraft5.jpg

None of these work. So my question is...where did you put the .jpg file?

Go to Edit/Add Files in VSD and check that the file has been added to the site, and where. Your links are in a proper format so will work once the picture file has been added to the site.

Or simply use an FTP program to upload the picture to your server, in the proper directory you want to reference it in.

As to your actual question, I'm not sure why it disappeared. But check that it is actually added to your VSD site, and/or uploaded to your server, and it should work.

Like I said, I had already published the site and it was working fine. Like I said, I did add TroutmanTamulonisdraft5.jpg to the "add files". I put the file in a folder images under root when I added files.

I would try re-syncing your site then if that doesn't work I would go to the Edit/Remove files and remove all references to the files your having trouble with and add them again.

I republished it again, this time using re-sync, for like the 3rd or 4th time and now the link to my link for a jpg works. So, is this a glitch in cc, in vsd or???something else?

Because I sure don't want to go through this every time I make a change on my webiste. The things that no longer worked did not even involve the changes I made.

There's no guarantee that it's a glitch when you had two problems going on at the same time. Sometimes things can happen during upload because of a server glitch or bad band width.

You're dealing with the internet. Any time information is transmitted it can 'glitch'. Many things can cause this including a problem with your server, or any point in between you and your server. I don't think there is a problem with the program for the simple fact that many users are using this with no problem. Including me.

No, I think the main issue is that VSD Link function is not working correctly when generating the code as I also see this issue with build 26.

The <span> argument is being generated incorrectly by the link function leaving the actual file off of the path.

Ex.
</span><span class="textstyle4"><a target="_blank" href="files/Download/">click here to complete 2015 Donation Application.<br>
</a></span>

Should be.
</span><span class="textstyle4"><a target="_blank" href="files/Download/2015COApplication.pdf">click here to complete 2015 Donation Application.<br>
</a></span>

This needs to be addressed...
