Transparent gifs in VSD 5.8.5 - Post...
Still not getting transparency to work in this version. Has this been fixed as yet?
Transparency works with .gif files if they are only touching the background of your site. If they touch or overlap any other objects, the transparency will not function properly.
Please keep an eye out for future updates, though!

There are a lot of people having problems with GIFs and Coffecup's Visual Site Designer.. It will convert your GIF into a JPG (and rename it) causing the transparency to become non so transparent. How I get around the issue is to open the finished site (HTML file) with Notepad and then change the file name back to "example.gif" and then copy and paste the actual gif into the file folder.
For example, the GIF I inserted was the first picture so it renamed my "example.gif" to "IMG_0.jpg". The number will change depending on what order it came in... Just go through your file folder and look through your pics until you find out what the new name is. You will have to paste the original file into the folder (don't just rename it), AND change the file name in notepad.
<div class="Object0"><img src="files/example.gif" width=810 height=608 border=0></div>
I'm using, VSD v.5.9.4, but I'm sure it is the same problem for them all...
Hope this works for you all. If so, could you please copy this reply into any relative forum. Thanks.
