No, no error message. I just go to my website and it's the old version,
not the changes I just made. I tried both "Upload to tirissa.com" and
"re-sync."

Are you sure you are uploading to the proper WWW folder?

I don't know what you mean. Is that something I look for in
my Hostgator account?
my Hostgator account?
The WWW folder is what you setup in Visual Site Designer where you configured your FTP settings. It would be either / or /public_html or /www or /htdocs etc. Hostgator would need to confirm that path. If you set it incorrectly, it will cause the exact problem you are describing. Your website would then be uploaded to the wrong location.

I just chatted with Hostgator and found out that the files had been uploaded to the home directory in the tirissa.com folder. As you said, it needed to be in the /public_html/ folder instead. The Hostgator tech did that for me. I don't understand how that happened, as I put in the same info from Hostgator as I did before. But when I clicked on Upload, I saw Tirissa.com as an option for the first time and I clicked on that instead of Re-sync (although I tried Re-sync later, but maybe it was too late by then?). So is the solution at this point to be sure and just use Re-sync and not Tirissa.com?
What you need to do then is go back into VSD and make sure to put the correct path in there and then upload through the software again. This will then make it so all future updates go to the proper location.

So when it asks for the WWW folder, I just type in "/public_html" and that's all? Or do I need a Tirissa.com in there somewhere? Or what? Or should I be asking Hostgator this?
The WWW folder is the folder location for where you need to put your files. It will be whatever HostGator says it is. So if they say the files go in /public_html then put that into the WWW folder location.
