I have real problems with CC photo gallery , never get it to work how i want.
so I thought I would use another one from another company!!
My problem is how do I integrate it into VSD, or do I need to, can I just upload it to the website so it sits alongside VSD, in a seperate directory perhaps.
It is an HTML based gallery but I cannot see any code that I can paste into the HTML box so that it can be used from VSD

The code you can't see, are you now talking about the CC Photo Gallery or a different one? And if the latter, which one?

In CC Photo Gallery you will see the code as soon as you save the gallery.

I had a look at this Easy website some time ago, and I think their stuff can only be used inside the programme, but not sure about that.

Maybe you can get it working if you create a page with a photo gallery in Easy Website, then open the page in a browser (you may have to upload it first), and then check the source code which you then copy and paste into VSD via the html tool. You have to check if there is anything hidden in the head section of the page too, and if there is, copy and paste into VSD in the head section.

If this seems difficult to you, like if you are unfamiliar with code, upload a page including a gallery made in Easy Website, give us the url and we can help deciding what you have to copy and paste where in VSD.

Thanks for the help Inger, I have also had some help from the gallery folk as well on much the same lines.
Have gone and got myself another domain on a free hosting deal so that I can play around to my hearts content!!
Will send the url when I have a page in VSD up with a gallery also.
thanks again.

PS What is the difference between a senior advisor or advisor and a Ambassador?

An update on using another photo gallery product.
Have got it up and running on http://natureoncam.co.uk/Photogallery.html
I have decided to leave it in a seperate directory and not try and integrate into VSD as it works well alongside.
Just got to finish the rest of the site now, following a big crash causing corruption on original site!

Thanks for the help Inger.

ouch Greg, that sucks, sorry to hear about the crash.

I love the photogallery too, I need to redo mine as I used a very old version on mine and it doesn't want to play nice with the new version so it won't load my galleries lol, what fun. Is ok though as I wanted to redo them anyways.

To answer your question on your previous post which I missed, sorry bout that,
Ambassador is the first step up the ladder I guess you would say to being recognized by CC as a helping person.
Advisor is the next step up from an Ambassador as being recognized by CC as helping even more.
And Senior Advisor I believe is the next step up, but since I just got my Advisor tag I can't say for sure hehe. I "think" they may have forum mod settings or maybe it's just some that do.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks Jo Ann for the kind thoughts and the answer to the question.

I have to say these are the friendliest and most helpful forums I have ever been on, I hope the Corporate entity of Coffee Cup realise and appreciate the help that all of you users, Ambassadors and Advisor's give to us all.
