text not being picked up by crawlers...

The website I designed with VSD has a large text at the top of the page.
Viewing the source that text is not part of the html. I would think that means the
search engine crawlers are not picking up this important text and indexing
it. Is this true and why is that text different from text shown under it.

The text is "New Hampshire Stone Restoration, Tile & Grout Cleaning,
and Shower Stall Cleaning" and is shown near the top of my web page
at www.nhstonerestoration.com

Thanks
Joe McCarron

What do you mean by different? Are you referring to the difference in font and/or size or something else?

If it is font or size, is that the way you entered it?

If you want to see your web pages as a crawler sees them, try viewing them with something like the Lynx text-only browser. Here's a link to a place where you can feed your page links and see what shows up for the crawlers:

http://www.delorie.com/web/lynxview.html

You'll have to upload a tiny file to your server to prove you're the owner of the site; they explain what you need to do.

If your text shows up in this view, the crawler will see it, too.
