Hi nan,
you are so right! no matter how you place them, stretch them, the images do not line up. I think Jo Ann said she would help you with the images if you could zip the images together and post the link for her to download the zip file or email to her. This would be your best bet, she is very good. Sorry couldn't be more help nan

Thanks for the vote of confidence Bruzer :)

Nan, I am on vacation until after Thanksgiving so if it's not urgently needed before then we're ok. Just post a link to the graphics if you could and I will download them when I get home and I'll resize them whatever size you need and then I'll post a link back to here for you to redownload them and replace the others with.

If you need it more urgently than that, all I can do is hope someone else might be willing to help out then since I have no graphics programs here to use. Am at the in-laws on their laptop and they don't have much at all for software for anything other than basic browsing stuff.

Thanks Jo Ann, I may take you up on that. It is not urgent - other than I have been working on this a lifetime and want it off my plate.
I am going to keep going at it myself - and if I can't get it done I will definitely take you up on it after TG
To make sure I understand. I am going to put my template together in my graphics program so that it is one piece. Then I am going to put my sales copy in the center of it. Will Resize the template to fit the copy.
1. do I save the template as a .jpg
2. can I take the templated into the VSD and compose the sales copy in the center of it then?
3. don't understand why you wouldn't use the VSD to compose copy and graphics - and do it in another program
4. or is the template and copy - as one large piece supposed to be imported into VSD.

Obviously I need to be able to do this myself - thanks for helping me get over the hump.

Hiya nan,

I think you're misunderstanding just a little bit on what needs to be resized and how to put it together. You won't need to put all the graphics together in one picture to make it work, we'll just need to figure out what the sizes of each graphic are that you need so that they can be resized to the right size as the graphic itself rather than resizing it in the VSD program to fit. Once we have the right size needed it's pretty simple to resize the graphics. This allows them to be the size needed for the them you are trying to use them for without having to mess around all too much getting them to fit.

The hard part will be to find out what size you need, so if you're able to try and figure that part out please do so. I don't use VSD other than to load it up to help people on it so I'm not sure where size information would be found, and of course am unable to check that out while away from home.
Maybe a kind soul will help us out and tell us how to get the size info for them? *hint hint guys* :P

After they are resized you can put them in one by one just like you were doing, but they shouldn't be all out of whack and should fit correctly when done this way.

Hopefully that made sense :)

I started site #2 and this time I put the pieces of the template together as a group - so they can't move around - but when it loads - the "bones" of all the pieces flash by quickly. Anything I can do about that?

can you be more specific on what you mean by "bones"? Site page seems to load fine for me and looks ok so far as what I could see.

Btw, I'm home now too if you needed the graphics done for you let me know :)

when it loads on my computer - I can quickly see all the separate parts of the template - header, sides, footer, sides, and the outlines of their edges before the whole thing comes together on the screen.
How do I reach you directly. This is how I figured out the problem of the template not lining up - to arrange them into a group - except for the strange loading I guess it is OK to do it this way?
thanks.

You should be able to turn off graphics in your browser and be able to see all of the outlines easily.
