Surely I don't need to create a...

I'm new to coffee Cup Visual Site Designer (V7.0) and I have downloaded an off-the-shelf script. I've downloaded it and unzipped it and I started looking at how I would upload it. I noticed the ADD FILE option in Visual Site Designer so I tried that. Unfortunately it doesn't allow you to select a folder and upload it from there. The download has over 100 subdirectories/folders and I don't want to laboriously create them manually. Surely there is a way of importing a full directory structure and for coffee cup to work out the sub-directories to upload files from ?

Do you need to be able to preview the results locally? If not just use CC's free ftp to build the directory structure on your server.:)

I don't know of any program that will create all your directories automatically.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Thanks for being so quick. The directory structure exists on my local drive.

In the plugins subdirectory I have files in each of these folders:-

..plugins/advhr
....plugins/advhr/css
....plugins/advhr/js
....plugins/advhr/langs
..plugins/advimage
..plugins/advimage/css
..plugins/advimage/img
..plugins/advimage/js
..plugins/advimage/langs

and so on.

If I have to build that directory structure in Visual Site Designer, the only way I can see is to ADD FILES, then CREATE DIRECTORY as above (for hundreds of subdirectories), and then ADD FILES to each of the subdirectories. A long laborious process.

I'll have a look at FREE-FTP, but I was hoping to edit in VSD before FTPing straight to the site.

You got it. You'll have to create the folder in VSD then select all the files that go into it. One hundred wouldn't be to bad. I wish you could just select the one main folder and be done.:)

I'm uploading as we speak, directly onto the server. I think I might be able to get away with uploading all the directories and only modifying the main directory from VSD.

Thanks for your help Eric.
