VSD being responsive is the most requested feature ever. My guess is it will never happen. I tried every workaround I could think of, and gave up. The HTML editor is the only answer, but of course this is no real solution for VSD users. So VSD will die slowly, having no answer in the growing world of smartphones and tablets...

I'm thinking the new Layout maker is going to help fill that void.

Mousover transparency please !!! (Ability to work with transparent PNG's)

Dear developers of VSD.... I'm just wondering if there are plans for more frequent incremental releases of VSD ? I use the tool a lot, and it is a fantastic solution for all of us not having time or skills to use full blown HTML editors.
But there seems to be so many good suggestions for improvement, and much seems not so complex to implement.
Anyone that knows anything on the topic?

I've built my site with VSD and love it. I just got the new Website Insight tool and love it, too.
When I ran Insight against my website it told me something interesting - that I didn't have any of my keywords in my header text. In fact, I didn't have any header text at all.

Insight recommended that I have keywords embedded within header text so that the search engines would see these more clearly. Unfortunately, VSD doesn't have any way to insert header text into an object - at least not that I could see.

Insight (and persumably Google) seem to be looking for <H1>...</H1> and the like.
Yet when I went in with the HTML editor and manually changed the text object to plug in the H1, H2, etc., the whole layout provided by VSD got mixed up.

Is there a workaround for this little dis-synchrony?

You can meta key words to your site through vsd. I'm on my mobile at the moment but I think it was under file. The work around for h1 and so on is to use an HTML box and hand code a few things as simple as a header. Do it to a link to give it even more power for an important key word for your site.

In VSD got to Edit/Edit Header... to edit header text

Go to Edit/Edit Keywords and Description to edit those.

It would be great if VSD had corner scaled image/object drag along with a form of crop and set picture transparency. it is a pain that VSD does not support transparent objects right now. I have to change them in publisher, adding the background to be the same as the webpage, save as image and re-import. It would be much easier if they just had a tool to remove background and support it rather than the black frame.
