Originally created my website using VSD, and frequently upload changes without any problem (VSD is great). When I went to do that today, however, the "trying to create a connection" box came on, but the program froze and nothing happened after that. I shut down my computer, rebooted, and tried again twice, with the same freezing up. Any suggestions? Should I re-load the program from the CoffeeCup website?
thanks,
GARY
Suddenly unable to upload VSD...
Hiya Gary,
Have you checked your server to make sure they aren't down or having some kind of maintenance that might mess up your uploads? Might not be it, but definitely worth checking. Also sometimes nodes are out or having issues between where you and your server are that can get in the way of uploads and downloads and running things online like playing games etc.

Is is possible that your server changed it's security protocols? One of the sites I manage recently had this happen - they switched to SFTP, and I can't use the in-program uploaders in any of my CC programs for that site anymore. I keep getting the "server will not accept cleartext sessions" (paraphrased). Tried to work it out with CC and with the hosting provider...but the result was pretty much we'd have to change providers.
DirectFTP works like a charm, though, as it has an option for SFTP so I've been using that to upload everything.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
