The only thing I can suggest at this pint is using an external ftp at this time, Either direct ftp or filezilla. If your not sure what to upload I can only offer this
http://www.kellyinfo.com/BasicTut.html
click on filezilla upload it will show the files to upload.
If you read this thread http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/our-design-software/vsd-594-wont-overwrite-older-files-yet-a-welcome-change/&p=2 it's discussed about clearing out the website folder, now I did this with only 5 pages, but again my site isn't important enough to worry about so back up everything as a precaution if you decide to do this. It does work for me anyway. the link next will show this http://kellyinfo.com/MyFiles/tutorials/clearingwebsitefolder.html
hope this helps

I just downloaded and installed the new version (5.9.4?) and NOW I can't upload at all in XP! At least before, after many tries it would finally upload. But not now! I'm losing business from my website over this! My site is www.minicatracingusa.com It is not a real simple site but nothing grandiose either!

I am using VSD 5.9.4 and the upload is flawless from both an XP machine and a vista one to several different hosts. Can you post a URL for the site where the trouble is occurring. T

Troubleshooting the problem you are having, I would begin by trying to upload a very simple site and see if the problem persists if not then it is something in your original site. If the problem continues then maybe your installation is the problem and an uninstall and reinstall of the VSD software from a fresh download would resolve.

To be sure there are many great sites being uploaded daily using VSD 5.9.4 so the problem is resolvable it will just take time and a systematic effort to find your particular solution.

Whoops, spoke too soon....I am now having issues uploading a VSD 5.9.4 developed site using Vista with SP1 installed. I am able to upload using CC FTP but not with the internal VSD process. On my XP machine I am able to upload the same VSD developed site without issue. Hope this gets resolved soon

Hopefully they are VSD users!
No luck here either. Looking into Soho.

Wow, what's the dealio? What exactly happens when you guys say you "can't upload at all" now? Is there an error? Does it say it uploads successfully but doesn't? I have Vista Business w/ SP1 & UAC disabled using 5.9.4 and haven't had any uploading issues yet. I'll still try adding some things here and there and re-upload. I wonder if there's a certain situation that triggers issues, whether it be a certain web host or configuration (Linux vs Windows) or if it's a certain type of file or feature used within the projects that cause. Obviously it's not happening to every VSD user, so there must be something common with those having issues. http://www.coffeecuphelp.com/adam/images/emoticons/thinking.gif

Here's some additional thoughts/questions
Were the troublesome pictures altered at all with VSD's options (rotated, made into links, etc)? Do they have spaces in the filenames at all (some hosts choke on that). If you can verify on the host server w/ an FTP app, are the files uploaded, do they have the original filenames or were they converted to IMG_## (mine so far have kept their original filenames in this test)? It looks as though the extensions were converted to all caps though (.JPG when was originally just .jpg). Just trying to throw ideas out for things to look for to help narrow down why this is happening.

Adam, thanks for your interest.
Virtually all the photos on my site are unchanged from when they were posted with earlier vesrsions of VSD.
Yes, some were previously re-sized or rotated but that was all before the "upgrade"
