I understand totally. I refuse to work on sites created with DW or any other WYSIWYG editor like Word because of all the crapola the editor adds. The only exception is EW3. It produces nice clean code.

I don't use the HTML Editor in visual mode so I don't know about the code it produces in WYSIWYG mode. I do know that it will change the code, though. Good luck.

Wich one is EW3?

hiya Javier,

Just remember that if you do open it in HTML Editor ( @Tom, he never said anything about opening it in the Visual part of the editor lol, not sure where you saw that ), that if you change any of the markup at all, even spelling errors, you cannot get that back into VSD. Means you'll have to then take the changes that the HTML Editor makes and change them in VSD to put the changes into the .vnu file or you'll have to make these changes every time you save your site in VSD. What you're suggesting would "only" work if you don't plan to edit it in VSD anymore and plan to carry on the editing in HTML Editor (or similar code editor). Hope that makes sense.

You would be better off to use a spell checker in a regular text editor or even if you do do it in HTML Editor to find the problems, and just change them in VSD at the same time.

Having said all that, doesn't VSD have a spell checker? If not, it's sorely in need of one I think :)

No it does not have a spell checker. I heard a rumor that this could be one of the addition on the new release. This is one of the things that a really good editor like VSD should have.

One thing you might want to do is go to the suggestions thread for that program (in this VSD section) and put it in there just in case. If it's already been suggested and they are already working on it great, but if not at least they have the suggestion where they can see it and find it :)

Thanks,

It's already been suggested. I hope they include it in the 6.1 version. BTW this version was supposed to be available to the public by now.

I'm sure as most of us already know, there is never a set date or time frame for software releases. They are released when they are ready is the best that we can hope for hehe. When companies give a time frame it's usually a time frame they are "shooting for" the release but never a guaranteed one.

I'm guessing that they found a bit more things in the Shopping Cart Creator that they needed to fix and put that behind their own time frame which most likely has put a few other things behind too. Just keep in mind, there's never a concrete date and it's release when it's ready and very seldom before that. That's a good thing not a bad thing in this day and age of Windows releases with 50 kazillion bugs that should have been worked out prior to release lol, I'd rather the darn things work right before hand than to be forced to be free beta testers after the release which is what most companies do. I'm glad CC isn't like that :)

A Kazillion is quite a lot.:D
