Well, now that my preview problem is fixed there seems to be a new problem, VSD won't upload anything. It goes through the motions and says it was uploaded, but when I check on the internet, nothing has changed. I tried with two different sites that have 2 different hosts and neither works. Any suggestions?? thanks for helping me.
Are you uploading to S-Drive or to an FTP server?

Hi Scott, Am uploading with the FTP within VSD to 1and1 and to Earthlink. I have checked the sites on other computers and there has been no change in the sites. thinking about uninstalling VSD again and reinstalling. Better yet, getting a new computer. Hm. Sadly, I still haven't figured out how to use the S-Drive. sorry

S-Drive is über easy! Like 1000 times easier.

It sounds like your files have gone out of sync. Here is what I would like you to do.
1. Go to the Publish Menu and select FTP Account Settings and select your FTP Account.
2. Verify that all information is correct and the Remote Folder path is not empty. Typically you would enter in a / or /public_html here but you need to confirm with your hosting provider what the correct path is. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THIS PATH IS CORRECT.
3. Go to the Publish Menu and select Choose a Publishing Destination and select your FTP Account and then click Save.
4. Finally, go to the Publish Menu and select Re-Sync Website.
With any luck, everything should be back to normal.

Thank you Scott. I will try these things. I just uninstalled VSD, cleaned up my computer with spybot, clean disc, and defraged and used ccleaner. Now I will reinstall VSD and do the things you suggest. May be tomorrow before I get all this done. Have to get up early to take my granddaughter to college. Thanks for your very much appreciated help.
Hi Scott, Hooray! I was able to fix one site with your instructions. the other site will have to wait until later and I still need to make some changes to it first. But, thank you again.
Hope It's not off base here to ask another question, kind of a follow up from a few weeks ago with Eric.... Here goes: If I add a jukebox, Inset HTML Object, my understanding is the only way to remove it is to use the removal tool. It seems that I had 3 or 4 variations of a jukebox prior to my final, and I did not remove them as I went along, I simply clicked the object and hit delete. How do I now remove the past 4 variations that I remove incorrectly? (When I try to publish, it is publishing those 4 unwanted jukeboxes, behind the scenes, and takes forever
)
Thanks,
Marc

Thanks,
Marc
