The problem with my browsers (I use three different ones) is that they love to cache my browsed pages. Well when I want to view my recently uploaded webpages in a browser I may end up getting a cached version. So what I do instead is to keep the cache cleared in my most disliked browser IE. I then look at my freshly uploaded pages to see how they look. Then before exiting IE i clear the cache so that next time I get a clean load. Have just begun doing this so hope it will continue to work. One would think that a website software design company would design something like this right inside their software. Hummmmmmm....
hit F5 on your keyboard and it flushes the cache then reloads the page anew.
works with all browsers i have

Thanks, you are a treasure trove of useful information. In IE Help is says it refreshes the active window but does not say whether it is from cache or from the server website (just used IE Help rather an Internet search). Assumed it was from cache. Hopefully the next version of CC will solve this workaround problem.

All I do is set all of my browsers to erase history after I exit the browser. That way, every time I have to test the site again, its already clear. All browsers give you this option. Its usually under tools.

I am not sure what it is you're expecting CC to do here David. They don't have control over our browsers which is where the cache is being done. Using the F5 is your best bet for clearing it on the fly, or using ccleaner for periodic thorough cleaning works nicely to keep things tidy, and using what Eric mentioned to have it clear it each time the browser is closed. Other than this, I don't think you'll be seeing CC adding much to keep our cache cleaned.
In case it hasn't been mentioned, F5 will clear the cache, and you can set the browser to clear the cache on exit.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
David... of course some people don't want their cache cleared for all manner of reasons, so it is right that it rests with the individual to choose how a browser behaves.
But as has been said a couple of times here, using the F5 key is useful to know about.

Sorry Jo Ann, didn't mean to get under your skin. I guess I was not clear. I was referring to the Preview button in CC. As you know most of us buy CC as it is promoted as a software that is very easy to use. Most may not be technically inclined. Therefore I did not know that the Preview I was looking at is an actual browser and that it needs to be refreshed. I thought that it was generated by something within CC when it was not. I apologize for being so stupid.

No apologies needed, we just were unclear that you intended to referrer to the preview tab. Generally I steer clear of the preview tab myself, I prefer to have the editor load up the different browsers I have to test with using the test in browser button, the little globe top right of the code window, that is completely configurable to use multiple browsers in the Tools>>Preferences section.
This way you can choose what version and browser you want to test for by downloading them and setting it up in the editor.

No worries David, and I'm sorry if I sounded like you got under my skin as you didn't and I apparently sounded harsher than I meant to. It's been a rough 2 weeks with my computer and I guess it showed in that post and I apologize for that.
I also misunderstood what you meant as did a few of us, so thanks for clarifying that you meant refreshing in the CC program not the internet browsers. I don't really know if that caches or not to be honest, I never really thought about that lol. I know it runs off of IE browser engine, but I have no idea if it caches it in the browser also or if it caches at all when just using the CC program.
I do use the preview in HTML Editor, never thought about it this way so it really is a curious question that would be nice to know if it caches when using the preview or not. I'm thinking that it doesn't, but ...
