Just seen an email promoting Sitemapper 6.

Anyone know whether it works with VSD, and, if so, how?

Couldn't tell ya. I have Sitemapper 5.5 build 182 and as far as I know, that's the latest version out. It works like a champ. If cc is sending out emails about an upgrade, I didn't get one.

I'm pretty sure Sitemapper works with whatever you decide to use it with as it doesn't really get added to websites persay, unless you actually add the HTML page to your site which is also possible.

Sitemapper maps out the pages of your site, it doesn't really know what program created them, only knows if the links are correctly written or not and I'm sure VSD writes them correctly

Actually the original site mapper, shows you a list of any errors it finds, well worth having just for that in my opinion

From the email i think the new improved one does everything you require, for VSD you simply .

Upload to your server in a folder in you rute (ie) mydomain.com/sitemap2013

Then you go to your webmasters account in Google and tell them the address,mydomain.com/sitemap2013/sitemap.xml like always a short while afterwards you can refresh, and it confirms its found it.

You can get clever with it make it pretty, add to you VSD a link to it but i dont bother with any of that, i just want spiders to find it not humans

Hey Scott! I didn't get the email. I'm guessing users who already have Sitemap get the free upgrade? Just not the themes? Um, will the sitemap themes I already have be compatible with the new sitemap?

That is correct. The email only went to our customers who did not already own the software.

Existing themes will still be compatible and we will have updates to those as well as some new ones.

And me, as i have access to Gaynors account , she does NOT have sitemapper
