Hello Everyone,
I have a site I did almost a year ago and update it each month for a Fratenal club. I did the update last night and went to upload it ( first time since the last upgrade, I think) and during the upload it hangs on a random page or image. A window pops up and tells me to check my FTP settings and disable my firewall. All my settings are the same and when I test it through the server settings it says it is OK. I disabled my firewall during the upload and that did not help. Here is the site arlingtonelks.com .
Hosting: Godaddy
Passive Mode checked
Port 21
VSD Ver. 7.0 Build 18
Windows 7
I even Deleted all the files on the server through Godaddys file manager.

Any Ideas?

Do you know if it usually stops at a certain image? I had this happen the first time I uploaded some changes after going to build 18. It kept hanging up at the same image (which turned out to be a roll-over experiment :P). I deleted it and the site went up just fine. See if you can pinpoint what it's trying to load when it stops.

Ok, I just uploaded it to a sub folder of my on site and it uploaded fine. What should I Check on the server it belongs on? I don't think I changed anything on the server since last month.

Do you use any other ftp to upload files to your site?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Can you log into the server and see your password? One thing to try would be change the password on GoDaddy, update the FTP settings in VSD and try an upload again.
If it was an upgrade from version 6 to 7, random image files did the same to me. I had to copy the site file, move it to a new folder and rename it. Open the site in VSD from the new file and save. I had to relink some downloaded files, and find a few image files, but no problem since.

@ Eric, No I used the VSD ftp. @ Tom, It will upload some of the files so it must be logging in ( I think ) when you say copy it to a new folder do you mean copy the .vnu file and site_website folder seperatly into a folder with a new name (ie. elks to elks1)

I just tried Toms' suggestion and copied it to a new folder and chased down a couple of images it could not find. I then uploaded it again and it hung up on the events.html. Tried to upload it again and it hung up on img_2. Maybe I should hang it up tonight and start fresh in the morning. I will check back on Sunday to see there is anything else I should try. Thank You!

David T, I had this happen, a while back.
Scott helped me out.
Open a support ticket, it seemed pretty involved, if I remember right.
