site template problems #2 - Post ID...
problems with my template - so I deleted it (it is not a coffeecup template) and uploaded without the template - no matter what I do the same old version is online. I re-synced, I went to removed published website - and nothing is changing.
I resyned, removed the old, uploaded again - and still nothing has changed.

For VSD I think you need a CoffeeCup template, I don't know of anyone else that produces files ending in .vnu
Could you post a link to the site in question, so that we could take a look?

now that I read this, I'm going to ask another question here to go with the bunch I asked in email lol. Did you choose a template when you first started your site? Or did you just attempt building one from scratch?
the template is jpg files - it is a graphic - I don't see why is doesn't work like any other graphic you upload onto your site. except that it surrounds the copy top sides bottom.
it is not a coffee cup template. I started with a blank page - put in my copy and other graphics - want to surround it with this template.
however the question is now - why can't I delete the published site and why won't it update.

Ok so when you say it's a graphic, either way when you save the site in VSD it is still creating a .vnu file that you edit each time correct? Also, do you have access to the server with FTP at all?
no, I don't have a separate ftp program - hostgator has one.
so yes, I use the picture icon and insert the pieces of graphic (which means it is the graphic pieces that surround my copy) just like I do for a photo or any other kind of graphic.
the first problem was that the pieces on the side would not stay where I put them. I resized them and then grouped them into one so they would be locked into place - that didn't work.
then I deleted all of those pieces, I resnyed my site, I used removed website that is published - but it is not doing that. it is the same original site, and I can't get it to change.

When you say hostgator has one, do you have access then to the files online via hostgators ftp file manager? Basically what we need to know is do you have access to the files that you can manipulate them online? Such as maybe downloading all the files to a new folder on your computer for a backup and then deleting all the site files created by VSD and reluploading? Don't do this yet, just asking if you have this ability to do so.
And we've established then that you're saved site is in .vnu format so you are able to open and edit it, it just isn't lining up and doing what you want it to, and of course you've removed the them so it's all bare content now without any theme graphics?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
