Hi,

I just published a new website using VSD and have a couple of questions.

1. On the home page, the vertical spacing between the two events on "Upcoming Events" is different (and much wider) on the published version compared to the VSD version. Is there any way to correct this?

2. I would like to be able to update events on the home page and blogs on the blog page without having to change the page itself but otherwise use some kind of window within a window. In CC speak, is this a "form," a "stream," or something else? What is the best way to do this with CC software?

3. Within VSD, is there a way to create links that open in a new window?

Thanks very much, and happy holidays.

Hi Cory,
1. http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … -designer/
2.You could use the new form builder and submit the data through a mysql database then use some php to squeeze the data out and display it the way you want. Or you could use your Stream
3.In VSD click on the "lInk" tool at the top. Now in the link properties box that opens to the right enter you link info then select the target at the bottom, and select "New Window (_blank)"
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks very much, Eric. I appreciate your response. These answers are very helpful. My only question about your response is the last point on response #2. Does "using my Stream" mean using the S-drive, or were you suggesting something else? I couldn't figure out what you were suggesting even after clicking on the link.

If you have VSD you should be able to have a Stream.

Okay. But my web hosting is by an external vendor and not S-drive. Is there a different way to use stream other than through S-drive? If so, could you please advise?

Thanks.

You can still use the stream method on an external host even though it's on S-Drive. Create your stream and grab the embed code either through VSD or from your dash board. It's free so it's all cool.

Thanks, Eric. Are there any instructions for how to do this? Seems to be beyond my scope.

Nice pictures Eric - the only improvement might have been a boot print on the back of that northern black widow. :D
