Thanks for the compliment Bren, If you ask Scott he will tell you 3 years ago, I had less idea than Greg seems to have, I could not grasp a thing, Thanks to CC staff and Forum users I learnt a lot in 18 months and continue learning as proven today.

Greg good luck, better let you have your thread back now.

www.workhorsepainting.com Changed out all of the top pg headers and secondary pg titles throughout the site. Put alt. text labels on all of the example images and some of the icon images. Am in the process of removing the hundreds of excessive images the application put into the file folder when I was building with the advanced text feature.
Concluded that I do not at all like the advanced text feature, and can do what the website font application does without using it at all it can easily be circumvented and still have not figured out how to use it will put that one off for awhile being as I can get the fancy fonts anyway if I did not have the application.
The concept of putting in the alternate text labels is new to me if I had had any background with it at all all of this would have been much easier from the start.
I guess that if I wanted to put up those paragraphs of the equipment listings as I had done at the beginning of this thread in that crayon font I could use the website font application for that one May try it at a later date.

Greg, I'm a bit late here – but in case you ever do this again...
Create your PNG files for your logo, headers, etc., Then do a "master page" with all the elements in place that will be repeated on all pages; background, logo, copyright... (except menus, since you don't have the pages ready yet). Fill in the alt-text as needed. Now, for each new page, select the copy page option and duplicate this master page. Now you have all your pages ready, go back to the master and make your menus/create your links. Copy/paste to each page and add your page-specific content. And your done :D

Greg, it's looking a lot better with those headers now. :)

When you get your head around all you have to do, and have some spare time, you can do a nicer, cleaner image in WIS.

PS. Viv, I'm yet to put sitemapper & web forms on my SCC site, so someone will have some joy helping me with those, I'm sure of it. :D

I'll be following you around the forums then, 'cause I haven't tried adding anything into SCC either :D

Greg, glad to see you're finally getting your text the way you want it. I'm thinking WIS might just be a nice easy quick alternative to Photoshop for most of my web graphics. I hadn't even thought about it for text images. :)

I don't have Photoshop paintbrush, but my friend has me running text images off all the time, so I've had my share of practice now. :D

What I like is once I choose a particular font, size, color etc, I can save that text as a project, then when I need another text the same, I just open the project & type over the text, save for web, cut in paint.net (as I'm yet to work out the canvas resizing  ), and presto, done. Nice super duper clean images.

Hint hint to Greg. :P
