When I delete a button, or flash file, video or sound clip, it continues to be saved in the file folder. I don't seem to be able to delete any of these no longer used files, as saving the site puts them back in to the folder, or it doesn't allow me to save. When I upload, I'm uploading all this extra stuff. How do I permanently get rid of objects, videos, etc, that I am no longer using.

When you say "file folder" do you mean the "_website" folder? If you delete them from your page they should not be appearing online. If you delete them from your page, delete the contents of your "_website" folder, and then re-save the site, there would be no reason to VSD to continue saving deleted files to the "_website" folder.

when deleting a file or flash or anything you''ll also need to go to the settings in VSD then to remove files and remove whatever you deleted as VSd does keep tabs on anything added. Don't forget to save after doing so, and it will update the vnu on your server as well.
And also what Chad has mentioned wouldn't hurt either......
