I need to remove my CC Site Designer files from one of my web sites so I can add plain HTML files to it. I no longer want to run CC Site Designer on this one web site. I tried replacing the "index.html" page but the CC Site Designer files are still showing up.

Please advise.

Either log on to your host and manually remove them or use an ftp program to delete them.

What files? Like I said I replaced the 'index.html' file with a plain htm file and my Site Designer files continued to show. There must be some vsd files or something that tells it that these are Site Designer files.

I think you said it yourself. You replaced an .html file with a .htm file. Um, how? Did you rename the .htm to .html ? Or just added the .htm file to the directory thereby not over writing anything? If there is an index.htm and an index.html I think the index.html will load, not the index.htm.

Easiest thing to do is to log on with an FTP program as Eric suggested, then delete the entire site.
Then upload the new site files. Should work good.

Techy friend of mine AGAIN, told me to use something like direct FTP and put X infront of anything to make them invalid (ie) re-name

Then Ctrl+F5 to see if the page goes missing to confirm things

easily changed back to bring to life

I use this to insure i dont delete wrong files or folders, but it also might be useful here to confirm what is going on ?
