Remote Folder Error - Post ID 190298
Somehow my ftp setting in VSD were deleted. I am trying to reset them, but keep getting an error when I try to upload to my root directory. The root folder is just "\" but I keep getting an "ftp setting are incorrect" error when I try to put that into the remote folder field. If I leave it blank, I can upload the site, but it doesn't display on the web. I talked to my hosting company and the said the root directory is under \ and that is what is showing up on my dashboard. Any ideas?
You need to reverse that character. You need to use a / (not \).
Fun stuff right?

I did upload it to the / file as well, but still not showing up on the web. I cleared my cache, still showing the old site.
In my dashboard default, it is showing a \ and I haven't changed any settings there.

I would suggest you contact your hosting provider again and re-confirm what that path should be.

You posted both ways.

OK, got it figured out. The ftp somehow got switched to the coffeecup server which must be linked to my S-Drive account, not the external server. When I switched the upload back to external ftp it worked right away.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
