Not a Yahoo user.. not sure what that means. If there's a way not to use an FTP like Filezilla, I'd like to use that but I tried publishing in VSD but the Re-sync Website option is greyed out. How do I publish in VSD without it going to the coffeecup website address?

Also something new.. it is telling me to enter FTP settings information (which I've never done before). Not even sure what information to put in here :/

Hi Tara,

In VSD go to the top menu and select 'Publish'.
Then select 'FTP Settings'
In that box, click that little green plus ( + ) symbol in the bottom left corner to add a new server.
Your 'Nickname' could be anything (ex. My VSD Site)
Your Server would be: kimberlywalton.net
Your username is whatever you sign into that server with. You would have gotten that from your hosting company when you signed up.
Your password is whatever you sign into that server with. Same as username you should have gotten that when you signed up with your hosting company.
Use port 21, passive mode. Then click 'Test Connection' to make sure everything is correct.
If it is, then 'Save' and you're all set.

When you get ready to upload your VSD site, just go back to the top menu and select 'Publish', then select'Choose Publishing Location'. Choose the Nickname you just created. After that you can just click the publish icon on the menu and your site will upload. Or you can re-sync your web site.

Let us know if you need more help. Good luck!

Thanks for your help, I think I'll do that from now on when publishing.

However, there must be something else wrong because it is still way distorted. I published it the way you said, and also re-synced it. Preview looks fine. I do need to resize some pictures, but before I published recent changes, they all showed up fine as png and the size they are now. The only recent change I made was adding the main Portfolio page and changing some background colors.

I think maybe a reinstall is in order. Something might be corrupted.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I'm at a loss here. I reinstalled VSD, restarted the computer, re-synced the site, re-published it. Preview still looks fine, but site is distorted.

I've experienced the same problem, I think it's a problem with using some mixture of HTML5 and CSS3, because VSD is still in HTML4 format.. I haven't looked at the site, but i've experienced the same exact thing before..

That's weird because I have published both on VSD and Filezilla several times. How do I know if my settings are correct?

It should look like - http://tarajohnson.coffeecup.com
What it does look like - http://kimberlywalton.net

They both have the same publish time stamp if you look at the source code.

Eric can you check something

on her .cc site, all i get when it loads is her name, which hovered over turns into a button that then loads the site

I think this may relate to the issue she is having ?
