I am trying to link to a PDF file from my website, but when I attempt to preview the website, the link does not work, giving me a message saying "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (C) isn't associated with any program." This is also what happens when I attempt to link to a word .doc file. It is getting very frustrating trying to get this file onto my website. Please help! thank you.

Can you post the link to your Website so I can see what is going on?

Unfortunately I am still in the process of constructing it, I have not uploaded it to the internet yet. :/

Without being able to see it, my next suggestion would be to make sure you have Adobe Acrobat and MS Word installed. The error could really mean anything, so troubleshooting locally is a bit difficult without seeing what it is doing.

You can also upload just to a temporary folder on your Website that only people who know where it is located can see it.
