Protecting images in VSD - Post ID...
How do I protect my images from being copied in VSD?? I have seen sites that don't allow people to right click and then copy images.
Thanks for any suggestions.

There's nothing you can do. Even the scripts don't stop people who want to copy the images. You can watermark images or use smaller, lower quality images.
Oh my! I think adding malicious code to your images would not be recommended- and seems it should be criminal.
The reality is....all images, music, movies, pages, etc. that you access on the internet send copies to your temporary file. (I would think such malicious code would automatically be downloaded into the temp file, too - yikes) A user could access them that way...or yes, the Prt Scr button. You can add a watermark to your images...but it might take away from user experience. If selling artwork, use something like a repeated grid and logo in small type across the screen of the sample. But to eliminate theft of images is all but impossible.

If you are worried about people using your images from your website by linking to them, you can add "hotlink protection" to your site. The down side is, that has sometimes caused problems with other software like photo gallery that uses links to your images to display them in a slide show.
One of the nice things about computer monitors is that they do not need really high quality images to display them reasonably. This means you can reduce the files size (.jpg is great for that) using an image editor. The image can still look nice on the monitor, but when printed, it will look bad. A monitor needs 96 dots per inch (dpi) on average to view things, and most printers are set to default at 200 to 300 dpi. If your image is created to look good at 96dpi, then the printer will be missing information to print properly.

Every image should show up if you added it to VSD. Make sure your file names don't have spaces or are spelled with upper case letters. Symbols might be in the name that you didn't put in the url also. Do you have a link to share so we can check out the site?
