My webpages look distorted when I view them on the web and it doest matter which browser I use. When I" preview" the site from within VSD it looks fine. But on the actual web almost all of my images and shapes are distorted and some images from other pages are bleeding through.I have been told this is a problem with incorrect coding but I don't know what to do about that. Im using this software so I don't have to know about coding. Any help would be appreciated
Hi,
Try this: Under Settings you find an option Re-Sync Website. Try that, it will remove redundant files and re-upload the files you need.
The coding made by VSD is normally correct, the only thing that may go wrong is if you have navigation buttons or other clickable elements overlapping each other. But if that is the case, the programme usually gives a warning.

Ok, I'll try that but I've been having trouble using the software's built in FTP also. I amalso going to try and erase everything on the server and upload using something like filezilla. I've uploaded the pages one at a time since the FTP wasn't working and maybe, that has something to do with it.Will repost after I've had a chance to try this and a few more possible remedies
John if Ingers tip does not do the trick, try turning of your firewall and upload again with VSD built in FTP
Also worth a second attempt with passive mode on
i get the problem constantly since i installed McCafee anti virus

I've had issues with both McCafee and Norton. Especially Norton (not just with CC software), and it was a royal pain to get rid of it, too. I've been using AVG for a few years now, the VSD uploader works fine and I don't have to turn off the firewall. I'm sure there are other security options that won't mess up the FTP. Being able to upload directly from VSD is a great feature.
Once your site is up, it will be easier to see what the problem is with the images

I've turned off the firewall, tried passive mode, etc.. nothing worked. I also deleted and re-uploaded all files about 10 times last night. I delete and resend tonite, and bam, everything's solved. I really love it when the elves give me a hind, I just wish I could see them work so I'd know how they fixed it:lol: Anyway, I'm going to try to add in the images back in now, and see if it still works. Ill let you know, and thanks everyone for your attention and suggestions. Is really appreciated,, VERY new site deveopler here.

Ok then, in my last post I think I said I was new, well I meant REAL new.
I reinstalled and everything is working correctly, even the FTP which was also giving me trouble. All the pages are loading correctly and looking fine, with just a minor problem here and there. Now I can get to work polishing it up. I'd like to say thanks again to all the people who took the time to look at this post and respond, you are much appreciated. Looking forward to many website creations..
