I downloaded Visual Site Designer and have installed it on a WinXP SP3 system to try out the 30 day demo. So far I like the design features, but cannot get it to upload anything to my site. I setup the Internet Connection screen with the server, user and password information. When I try the TEST button, things go along OK for awhile and then I get an ERROR at the step Testing Upload... step.
The log window shows I logged in OK and created the vsd.test directory OK. The next message is an error 550 Cannot change directory to vsd.test/vsd.txt followed by a 250 OK Current directory is /vsd.test. When I look on the server, the directory vsd.test is created in the correct location and the file vsd.txt is created, but empty.
I have tried this with Passive Mode on and off, both with the same results.
Any ideas what to try?
PS I have also downloaded the HTML Editor application and with that I can upload the files I create just fine.
Problems uploading - FTP Test fails...
Try checking permissions on the folder you are uploading to and make sure they are set so the "write" as in read-write-execute is turned on....
